Bhagwati Prasad Pandey (IAS)

Sh. B . P. Pandey is an Retd. Indian Administrative Service (lAS) officer of 1983 of Uttarakhand Cadre. He holds a Master's Degree in Botany (Ecology) and an MBA degree. He has worked in various senior positions in Government of Uttar Pradesh (till 2000), Government of Uttarakhand (from 2001-2006) as well as in Government of India (from 2006-2013 and 2014-2017) such as District Magistrate, Chief Executive of State PSUs, Secretary in the State Government mainly in Department of Power; Forest and Environment; Agriculture; Co-operatives; Watershed Development; Taxation and Drinking Water; etc. He has a wide experience in the field of Power Sector, Natural Resource Management (Land, Water, Forest and watershed) and Rural Development. He has rich experience in formulation and implementation of externally funded projects (viz. World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and European Union) in the field of Watershed Management, Sodic-land Reclamation, Drinking Water & Sanitation, Management of Forest Resources and Hydro-electric Projects.

              He has worked as Joint Secretary in Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals and CVO in Power Sector CPSU's . He has also worked as Additional Chief Secretary, (Power and Commissioner Forest & Rural Development) Govt. of Uttarakhand (2013- 14) before joining back Government of India as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Textiles in 2014.

              He has been very closely associated with Power Sector. He took over as Additional Secretary in Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, in August, 2015. He has worked as Special Secretary in Ministry of Power, GOI, from August, 2016 to March, 2017. He has also worked as DG, Bureau of Energy Efficiency & CMD, REC. Has been on the Board of Directors of Northern Coal Field (Coal India), UPCL & UJVN.

Dr. Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration UAoA (Uttarakhand Academy of Administration) originally established as Officers' Training School (O.T.S.) at Allahabad in 1951, was shifted to Nainital in 1971. In 1974 the institution was renamed as Administrative Training Institute (A.T.I.) and in 1988 it was raised to the status of Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration (UPAA). In the year 2000, after creation of Uttaranchal as a separate state, the academy was named as Uttaranchal Academy of Administration (UAoA). Now Academy is known as Dr. Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration (DRTSUAoA).
