The workshop focuses on the pre-study with stakeholders in term of issues and challenges to be
considered for the development of towns. The 3 major focus areas for the study are –

  • Urban Mobility, Parking, Traffic and Transportation
  •  Water Supply and Water Security
  • Solid Waste Management

Objectives of the Workshops
1. To identify the sectoral challenges Viz-Viz Tourism, Urbanization and Growth
2. To discuss the carrying capacity and identify the limiting factors on floating population.
3. To identify the discrepancies in Urban Planning of the city and suggest possible interventions
4. To obtain suggestions from the participants regarding data points, sources and survey methodology

Dr. Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration UAoA (Uttarakhand Academy of Administration) originally established as Officers' Training School (O.T.S.) at Allahabad in 1951, was shifted to Nainital in 1971. In 1974 the institution was renamed as Administrative Training Institute (A.T.I.) and in 1988 it was raised to the status of Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration (UPAA). In the year 2000, after creation of Uttaranchal as a separate state, the academy was named as Uttaranchal Academy of Administration (UAoA). Now Academy is known as Dr. Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration (DRTSUAoA).
