Dr. Priyanka Tyagi

She has done Ph.D. from Department of Geography, Kumaun University entitled as “Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Planning in Rudraprayag District, Uttarakhand”. She has done Master’s and B.A. (Hons.) in Geography from Kumaun University and Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi respectively. She has  attended “APRU Summer School, Multi-Hazard Program” organized by International Research Institute of Disaster Science, Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan in 2016, attended University of Geneva, Switzerland for Specialization Certificate course in “Assessment and Management of Geological and Climate related Risk, CERG-C, 2015”,  received Certificate of Excellence for  her presentation in “Summer Training Course for Slope Land Disaster Reduction” organized by Hydro-tech Research Institute, National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 2014 and Presented 05 papers and poster in many national and international conferences of which were at in “Dealing with Disasters (DWD) Conference” in September 2017 at The Institute of Hazard, Risk & Resilience , Durham University, England & 4th World Congress on Disaster Management at IIT Bombay. She has 8 published paper and associate editor of one book.

 

She has academic research experience of more than 6 years in various parts of Uttarakhand. She has worked as Project Associate at Institute of Disasters, Emergency and Accidents at New Delhi in which she prepared Disaster Management Plan of National Centre of Disease Control (NCDC), New Delhi with funding from World Health Organization (WHO). She has worked as Guest Faculty at Faculty of Earth Sciences, Institute of Mountain Environment, Bhaderwah Campus (University of Jammu) and as Project Consultant at Pragya NGO in their Joshimath Branch in the year 2014 for relief and rehabilitation work after 2013 Flash Flood.

 

She is Associate member of Global Network of Civil Society Organization for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) Community and Member of International Association for Promoting Geo-ethics, India. She is working as Research Officer at Dr.RST Uttarakhand Academy of Administration since 21 November 2022.

Dr. Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration UAoA (Uttarakhand Academy of Administration) originally established as Officers' Training School (O.T.S.) at Allahabad in 1951, was shifted to Nainital in 1971. In 1974 the institution was renamed as Administrative Training Institute (A.T.I.) and in 1988 it was raised to the status of Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration (UPAA). In the year 2000, after creation of Uttaranchal as a separate state, the academy was named as Uttaranchal Academy of Administration (UAoA). Now Academy is known as Dr. Raghunandan Singh Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration (DRTSUAoA).
