Sh. Sushil Kumar is a 2005 batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand Cadre. He is a graduate in science from Kurukshetra University and an MBA from I.P. University, New Delhi. Before joining State Civil Services he has also served with Indian army in corps of Engineers as a commissioned officer.

        He has served on various prestigious and challenging appointments during service such as Municipal Commissioner, Dehradun, District Magistrate, Pithoragarh and District Magistrate, Pauri Gharwal. He also has exposure to various line department tenures as Labour Commissioner and Cane Commissioner, Uttarakhand. Mr. Kumar has also served in Government as Secretary of Revenue department and Secretary of Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. He incorporated various reforms relating to automation and real time management  of supply chain of  food grain distribution. He also introduced E-Khareed system in procurement and initiated electronic delivery system in collaboration with CSC-SPV, Govt. of India. He has also served as Excise Commissioner, Uttarakhand. Thus, he has vast experience in public administration and service delivery system.

        He has interest in sports in displines like Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball etc. He also has keen interest in cultural and literary activities. Our endeavor is to enrich the trainees as well as academy with quality training including exposure to best practices.
