Post Graduate in Political Science She belongs to the first batch of  Uttarakhand State Service, served as District Panchayat Raj Officer Champawat, Nainital, Bageshwar and Directorate of Panchayati Raj Uttarakhand . She has experience in working with Government of India in Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) as Senior Mission Executive, National Rural Livelihoods Mission. During her tenure in MoRD she has extensively visited India for capacity building of SHGs and their support system and as a team member of mid -term Review Missions of The World Bank.

She has previously served in Academy as Officer on Special Duty and Deputy Director. She is facilitated by Honorable Governor of Uttarakhand for commendable work during her second tenure in Academy.

            Due to her work with Panchayati Raj Institutions; Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India nominated her as a member of the two high level committees -

1. To review National Capacity Building Framework
2. Preparing Panchayat Development Index

She is the pioneer in implementing Panchayat Development Index in Uttarakhand .
