International Women’s Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Dr. R. S. Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration Organised a seminar on women empowerment on 8th March 2022. The Director General of the Academy, Shri B.P. Pandey graced the occasion with his presence and addressed the audience speaking on women empowerment and their success stories. The Joint Director, Shri Prakash Chandra, under whose guidance this celebration was organised successfully, was also present in the seminar as well as the celebration. Shri Dinesh Rana – Deputy Director (Finance), Ms. Poonam Pathak – Deputy Director (Economics), Shri V. K. Singh – Deputy Director (Computers), Ms. Manju Pandey- Assistant Professor of Disaster Management Cell, Shri N. S. Nagnyal - Deputy Director and Ms. Meenu Pathak – Nodal Officer (COMMIT) of the Academy also attended the seminar. The Child Development Project Officer-Bhimtal – Ms. Renu Martolia, Ms. Manju Pandey, Assistant Professor -Disaster Management Cell, Ms. Kakali Priyam Goswami & Ms. Kashmiri Deka – the trainee participants spoke on the issues and challenges faced by the women. The seminar ended with Director General’s Address in which he highlighted the role of women in society. He also gave references from the ancient literature and Upanishads and their relevance in the contemporary world. After the seminar, the women Employees at the Academy participated in the activities conducted for them with great enthusiasm. All women employees of the academy were also invited in the Executive Lounge with full respect and sumptuous Pahari Cuisine was served to them.
